She gave him a smile, still wondering what was going on with him. He was asking her to go see a movie. Not on a date of course, no he’d never ask her. He was just asking her as a friend. It was still odd though. Why her and not anyone else in the group.
“A movie sounds good,” She said, “you pick.”
“You know you don’t have to go right. I’m just bored, And you spend way too much time on school work as it is.” He said giving her a look and placing his hands on his hips.
She rolled her eyes at him. “I just agreed to go with you and said you get to pick the movie.” Not to mention she did need a break from all the homework she had been doing. She just completed three essays before she started her reading.
He laughed slightly and leaned towards her. “Annie, come on, relax. Let’s go.” He said nodding in the direction of his car.
Relax. Something she didn’t learn in that relaxation class she took a while back. She managed to exhale and let her shoulders droop slightly before following Jeff to his car.
“Thanks,” She said to him as he started the car, “I needed to unwind after all those essays.”
“Yes you do. You work way too hard Annie.” he said nodding gently “I’m glad you decided to take a break for once”
“I’m rewarding myself for all the hardwork I put in on those essays,” She laughed. “So what movie are we going to?”
